Le Spam

Hey solitary reader, I’m breaking my summer “silence” to pass comment on something that has started to annoy the crap out of me.

French Vikings.

I don’t know what it is about my website, but I seem to attract a lot of French Language spammers.

For the record, I am unlikely to allow any posts from any site that seems to be a handbag store, sells women’s shoes or is in any language I don’t read (at least without google translate helping) this isn’t because I have anything against you or your product it’s just that all these sites seem to like posting comments that have not even a single word relevant to the post.

I get SO many spambots from these sorts of stores (2 or 3 a day at times) that I’m likely to delete any comment that is in poor English or looks like it may have been generated by a Spambot.

So, if you want your comment to survive please make sure that it is does not link to a foreign language store (all my readers are English readers anyway) or at least make sure your comment is actually relevant to the post.
