The hybrid lovechild of Victorian Scientific Romances and Cyberpunk, the genre of Steampunk has evolved from it’s original retro-futurism into a sub-genre all of it’s own.
Blending the best of science-fiction and fantasy with a healthy dose of modern social commentary Steampunk has come of age. Cos-players, artists, authors and even musicians embrace the sub-genre, and I admit that I am one of them.
