Chris has created a new world, a truly wonderful creation. This is no pastiche of tired cliche (possibly unlike my review!). I love it when a new writer is bursting with creativity. You feel their passion to get it all out. This energy has created this rich, complex, intelligent narrative. I was hooked right from the start, compelled to keep reading right into the night.Do your self a favour, clear your diary and read this book. I feel richer for reading it and I’m sure you will be too. - 5.0 out of 5 stars A rich mix, skilfully handled 20 Sep 2012

Looking at the blurb, there are two ways for a book with this many characters to go: it can be a mishmash from a young author or it can be a wild ride into a richly populated universe. CJ Moseley has managed the latter in an entertaining romp through that universe. There’s humor throughout but there’s a cynical glint in the author’s eye, I suspect, as his heroes are human in their failings if not in their genetic makeup.Who would I liken this to? Difficult – there’s more scifi than Pratchett allows, it’s not Hitchhiker – it’s different! Let’s just say that it’s funny scifi for the grown up.An excellent book by a new writer: I look forward to more.
