Cartoonist Tom Gauld reveals that Goldilocks’ three bears weren’t merely forest animals cohabiting in a house. They were also scientists hard at work on different research projects, each requiring a human subject. So Goldilocks wasn’t a nosy intruder after all, but young, blonde, human test subject.
