Generic Update 22/11/16

Hello there my friend,

I thought it was about time to do one of my generic updates, as it has been a while.

The last month has been a terrible one for me personally. I lost an old friend to sudden pancreatic cancer with no warning, she was the original Nansiroot from Paradox War, and encouraged me to write the story down. The world got a little less fantastic when she passed and she’ll be missed by all her family and friends.

But onward and upwards…  Right now I’m making edits to “Cyberpixies” (my children’s cyber-fantasy WIP) and hope to have it ready for Christmas (although that deadline is getting a bit tight). I still need to make a cover image for it.

I’ve also got my busy beta readers reading the 1st draft of “The First Seal“, which I hope is a very much a Thriller to start of my Cthriller series (each book in the series will add more and more Lovecraft Mythos, until the finale when the Great Old Ones rise to conquer the Earth. I’ve already finished the 2nd book in the series, which was intended to be the 1st, but decided it wasn’t Thriller enough for my purposes. Hopefully, this new installment will fit better and I can repurpose the 2nd book with a few judicious edits. Hopefully, both will be out in 2017 (and again I will have to work on their covers quite soon).

In other news, I’m working on another Popcorn Paradox post for the Time Travel Nexus, this time on the Terminator franchise, which is a bit of a nightmare because of the lack of consistency between movies (and TV show), but I think I have an explanation that should work within the universe as to why the movies work.

I’ve put work on planning “The Adaption Files” (still need a better name) on hold for a while to concentrate on planning “Paradox Warriors” the sequel to “The Paradox War“. That means the monthly RPG session is also being repurposed to help. My players all have new characters that we’ll weave into the adventure, and for the first time since the original the PCs will be the main characters in the book. I’ll try to not spoiler too badly with updates.  While it is a direct sequel (to a temporal pretzel of a story – I like a challenge), none of the original characters will be main characters this time, although I can confirm that Desi, Garner and Teucoi will be important to the plot.

Okay that’s it, I think. You’re all caught up. Now what are you going to do? Me, I’ve got editing and world-building preparations to get on with.
